04/24/2024 Lunch with parents. Excellent authentic cajun restaurant. I am from Louisiana and this is one of the very few authentic cajun restaurants I have discovered in Southern Alabama near the Gulf Shores area. We enjoyed the gumbo (very dark roux), crawfish etouffee, and seafood platter. 5 stars all the way around! I even noticed they did a few building repairs with duct tape.., yup, they are cajun!.
What Carol McCormick doesn't like about Boudreaux's Cajun Grill:
Food was to spicy (hot) to enjoy. We have no aversion to spicy food, but the shrimp creole and crawfish tails were inedible. Even the gumbo was way to hot. Our server was impatient with out first time diner's questions. Will not go back! View all feedback.
Absolutely fantastic. food was out of this world. marked as my favorite restaurant.
We went for Mother's Day and had brunch. I ordered the eggs Sardeaux. My husband ordered a dish with grits, Conecuh bacon, gator sausage, and cheese, I think. Both were absolutely delicious! The service was top-notch, friendly, and quick. Those folks work hard for their tips, and they deserve every penny. They kept our glasses full, and the food came out steaming hot. We'll be back.

Awesome Amazing, and the food and service was awesome Amazing also ??
The view was beautiful. The three young ladies you had working your front counter could definitely learn how to smile they are not the friendliest, and I almost left because of them, but we waited an hour and a half almost to be seated and another hour for food that was, not even OK.I was quite disappointed because of the rave reviews. Everyone gives this restaurant the appetizer was the only thing that was really good and that was the pimento cheese. The shrimp were overdone. The grits are like a patty cake. I don’t know I could only take one bite, and that was itto spend that kind of money definitely other restaurants in the area that are very good. It doesn’t matter busy or not. You don’t charge people that type of money for mediocre food. My husband had the redfish blackened sandwich and it was very fishy. The fries were good.Don’t think we’ll ever come back here again. Just like to give a honest review you can definitely follow me and I have given other local restaurants reviews for this area that were excellent during our vacation.
