Authentic real home-cooked meals in a restaurant setting......I would give this place 10 stars if I could! Love the old time vibe this restaurant offers. NOTHING in the area compares. Highly recommend!!!! View all feedback.

Had dinner there last night and the food was great!
Beautiful day for a ride, so we decided to check out Cafe La Merienda in Danville for the first time. The papusas seemed to be highly recommended everyone, so, that’s what we started off with, three different kinds, and they did not disappoint, in fact, they were the best we’d ever had, as were the guacamole and handmade tortilla chips too. Next we had delicious plantains and beans which were amazing, but, the main dish was outstanding, we shared a plate of fried yucca, crispy pork and tiny little fish mixed in with a lovely cabbage….we could not believe how tasty this dish was, the yucca was perfectly crispy and fluffy in the middle, delightful!Everything was so very delicious, the service was wonderful and prompt, everyone was so sweet there, especially our server, and it was very inexpensive, our four shared courses came in at under $30, which is amazing in todays expensive world of dining out.I literally cannot wait to make the trip back there to try some more authentic delicious Salvadoran dishes. YUMMY! Vegetarian options: Plenty of choice for vegetarians. Parking: To s of parking out front.

Food I gave a 3 star I just try the pupusas nothing else. The service had no good service just take the food order and vanished. Atmosphere mediocre outdated I have no idea if the bathrooms are ok.Finally, the time to pay, the cashier made several mistakes in prices and numbers were outrages for a few pupusas and a fish and some weird food that my sister ordered. One time mistakes are ok, but making the same mistakes three times is to closed the business. Is better to take out and maybe the price is cheaper. There is a sign that prices have changed, with that said it can be costly
Everything was extremely good. People are nice the atmosphere is good. You should try this place
