This was our first visit and we enjoyed it very much. I really liked the popcorn shrimp dinner; the portion was quite large so I took some home! The hush puppies alone are worth the visit! The cocktail sauce wasn't that great, very mild, almost ketchup.Other than the tame cocktail sauce and the fact no alcohol is served, it is a very pleasant restaurant. Also, the service wasfantastic! We have been coming here for years, always a family favorite. BUT the food quality was just not anywhere near what we had been accustomed to. The sea scallops were actually bay scallops and cooked to little hard white balls! And the prices were higher.Higher prices for the same quality would have been fine, but it wasn't. Sat last week. - I had the fried plate and my staff had the fried plate. Service was excellent and helpful as it was our first visit. I was impressed eating was really good and we had remains. This place takes some frequent food service shortcuts in many places, but the food is well prepared and the service is very personal. Another plus: The menu is appreciated for the most part, especially when you consider how much they offer.
Fantastic! Stopped during the trip and was thrilled by the atmosphere, hospitality and menu. I had Fried Catfish, Soup and the Best Fried Okra I ever tasted (and I cost a LOT!!! the area is plastered with each chain support, treat yourself and eat in this home decor.
Love this place. We drive from Sevier County a lot to eat here which is a good hour drive via I-40 from our house but it's worth the drive. This is my go to place for fried oysters which I dearly love. Love the hush puppies and crab cakes too. Never had anything bad here. Beautiful log cabin building just off the Interstate on Hwy. 92 (Dandridge/Jefferson City exit) and nice drive and scenery between Sevierville and Dandridge.
Very good food and waiter staff was great. We will eat there again
