I went there for the first time today . It's such a hidden gem what looks like a regular pizza shop has a cool cozy dining room and the food was amazing I'll go back again and again and spread the word View all feedback.
What Joanne Steiner (blind spaniel mamma) doesn't like about Sinapi's Pizza:
11/18/22. Under new ownership: Picked up meatball parm grinder and small pie with onions. The meatball recipe has changed and they are not as light and fluffy that prior ownership produced. The pizza was overdone, tasteless and onions too were tasteless. The sauce has no flavor and tasted like it came from a jar. Wouldn’t mind the price increase if the food was good, but it was lousy. So very disappointing since I’ve been a patron for over 30 yr. Oh well there goes the local pizza joint.
I was upset when the previous owners retired. I went there today for a slice. It's still great pizza. I'll definitely be going back.
New owner's but old world flavor, plus the best garlic knots ever!!
I first went to the original Sinapi’s pizza 30 years ago, I have been living in VA for like 10 years and I miss that NY pizza. In VA everyone calls their pizza NY Pizza but I am born and raised in Manhattan and I also make my pizza from scratch so I know a thing or two about good pizza. This is the real deal made with quality ingredients. I met the new owner of this family business and he was very friendly and inviting. They are still carrying the Sinapi name for now but they may change it down the road. At first I was not sure what to expect because the new owners had some big shoes to fill. The service: Was friendly engaging and attentive. The food: Was prepared and presented in line with a finer restaurant, not a mom and pop paper plate pizzeria, this is however a family business. The pizza: The bar is raised high here as far as comparing it with the best pizzerias I have been to across the US New York and Chicago included, as well as other countries. The seasoning is perfect and did not even need any additional topping as far as my taste is concerned. For reference I had the pepperoni pizza. Although they have only been opened for a few weeks now, you can tell that they arrived prepared as they are not new in the pizzeria business. Well done new owners of Sinapis in Danbury. I will come see you when I am in town. You have my endorsement.

Amazing pizza, and amazing prices. I got 2 of the best pizza slices I've ever had, which were massive and filled with toppings, plus 2 sodas for just 10$, definitely coming back.
