Jeffrey's Chinese Kitchen - Danbury

This restaurant is excellent—definitely my go-to for takeout. They offer great vegetarian options, and I believe it's a family-owned establishment, which is reflected in their traditional recipes. The staff is always very kind when we pick up our orders, and they often add extra items, which is a nice touch. I’ve been feeling unwell this week, and when my soup was delivered today, I noticed they included an extra container of broth, which I found to be a truly thoughtful gesture. I’m proud to support this business and this wonderful family.

I live close by, but I think this was my first visit to Jeffrey's. I ordered the pu pu platter, General Tso's chicken, and broccoli with shrimp for lunch, and it was *really* good. It might be the best General Tso's I've ever had—large pieces of white meat, minimal breading, and a delicious sauce. The hot and sour soup was a generous size, and the fried rice was also substantial. The pu pu platter was excellent, but there was way too much food! Additionally, their COVID safety measures were the best I've seen; there are plexiglass doors on both the Jeffrey side and the customer side, so it's clear they take it seriously. We will definitely be returning.

I've had some of the best food in a long time at this restaurant. It's my favorite spot for takeout; not only is the food incredible, but the staff is great as well.

The best hot and sour soup in town! Jeffries is the only Chinese restaurant I visit because everything that comes out of their kitchen is excellent!

I've been to this restaurant a few times, even though it’s not on my usual path. After seeing several positive reviews, I decided to check it out, and now I find myself coming back whenever I can. My visits have always been pleasant, and the food is genuinely delicious. I intend to keep ordering takeout whenever I indulge in cheat meals. While I was waiting for my order, I sat in my car outside, and to my surprise, they brought my dinner out to me once it was ready! It’s the little details that distinguish one place from another, and I really appreciate that extra effort.
