I originally gave this restaurant a low rating based on just one dish. However, after trying it a few more times, I can say that they actually do most things quite well, and some of their prices are among the lowest around. They also offer a selection of local South American dishes. Considering it’s primarily a takeout spot, I believe they deserve 5 stars. View all feedback.
What Aletha Dooley doesn't like about Dragon Cheng:
I had a very disappointing experience. I called to inquire whether they offer delivery, and after stating that they don't, they hung up on me before I even had the chance to place a takeout order. The rudeness was quite unacceptable. View all feedback.
LOVE the food. My favorite place to go for a good price. I highly recommend their sesame chicken combo. Their fried rice is so good.
I’ve been going to this place for years. You can’t expect five-star quality from takeout food, so to be takeout food against all the other small Chinese takeout restaurants that I’ve been to this one seems to have the best tasting food. And I’ve been living in Danbury all my life. I’m not a food critic but like I said Compared to other places I find their rice and their rice noodles to be some of the best tasting. I’ve never had trouble with the staff or any problems with my order. Plus they are always fast and honestly every time I go there pretty busy . The only reason they lost one star is because their place does look like an organized mess lol but like I said I like the staff and I’ve been going here for years and don’t plan on going anywhere else.
Food is great. Not fatty or greasy. Almost always get a free soda with your order. The lady who works there is super friendly, always hooks it up, and helps me carry stuff to the car if I have more than one bag. Great place.
Love the food here for sure. Parking is an issue at peak times as it is located in a very busy strip mall with other well established business. No restrooms available, the inside space is good for dining alone or with a companion; not so good for groups. Got take out ordered over the phone on a Sunday night around 9pm. The experience was painful and under delivered though it was quick and super hot. I wanted to order chicken w snowpea combo, but the lady yelling disjointed words with a chinese accent on the other end made it hard to have a two way conversation, i ended up hanging up without knowing: when my order would be ready how much it would be what was in house soup: Chicken ? Shrimp or all 3 (i think it's all 3, second one being pork and shrimp missing in the end Once at counter 10min later we corrected the order from small (which the combo doesn't have sizes! to large then realized she intended to serve us not a combo, so just white rice no egg roll. We were just driving by and no time to correct and explain. They must get a lot of traffic... Recommend ordering with the item number rather than description (though that could prove challenging too with the lack of two way communication . Chicken was low quality on both dishes and felt like flimsy fat cut offs.
