Tokyo (Fire) Sushi is a standout choice for several reasons: 1) it's local, 2) it's conveniently located, and 3) it outshines Katana by a long shot. We've been ordering takeout from this restaurant at least 2-3 times a month since 2020, and it never disappoints. The sushi is incredibly fresh, from the fish to the avocados. They’re also very accommodating; if you request extra tofu in the miso soup, they’re more than happy to fulfill that. The service is quick and efficient, with a friendly customer service approach, and the sushi itself is simply amazing.
My wife and I frequently order takeout from this restaurant, and we’re always impressed with the food. It's consistently delicious, and we’ve never been let down. This restaurant is a hidden gem located in the Safeway parking lot in Damascus. The sushi selection is remarkable; we've sampled about six different rolls, and they have all been delicious every time. It's far superior to any sushi I've tried in DC, and the prices are much more affordable. We often plan our day trips from DC around stopping at Tokyo because it's that good.
