Was Gary Lee at Cupacity a mag?
Due to my obvious chemical addiction to coffee, I have been to hundreds of small and comfy coffee shops across the country. Imagine my surprise when I discovered one for my faves reel right in my neck of the Maine woods. Cupacity a name my auto-correct hates, is a warm, friendly spot right in the heart of downtown Damariscotta. The coffee is outstanding! The smell of fresh, warm baked goodies fill the air. What Elinor Jacobs dislikes about Cupacity:
I was skeptical--most coffee places have the grounds, equipment, vibe, etc. But not the discipline to properly clean the cup between cycles. You taste the scorched oils as an acrid ash-like note. Excellent coffee! I highly recommend the cardamom and everything bagel. The atmosphere is cozy, the staff is friendly, and the view is stunning.

This charming café in Damariscotta, Maine, offers amazing coffee, a comfortable atmosphere, and friendly staff. There are plenty of seating options both indoors and outdoors, where you can enjoy beautiful views of the river! We even discovered that they serve cocktails one evening a week. We visited twice during our vacation and will definitely return on future trips. Don't miss out on the homemade bagels—they're delicious! Although it was crowded one of the times we went, we thoroughly enjoyed our experience overall. Highly recommended!

In the mornings, they serve fantastic coffee and pastries, among other great items. We love to visit in the evenings (free and available as of this writing), where Susan crafts the most amazing, inventive, and delicious cocktails while Bennett prepares exceptional dishes. It can be a bit pricey, but we always have a wonderful time when we go.

The shop has a front street view and a back room that looks over the bay. Best of all, the staff and owner make you feel like family. The good ones in the family that is. Wonderful place

Baristas are friendly, great ambiance, beautiful creative space, surrounded by expressions of art every way I turn. High top seating overlooking Main street. Hot bowl of butternut squash soup on this October morning in Maine. Glad I stopped in.
