all stars for persistent good eating, warm service and feel like home. tselogs is now at her new location on the mission and her decor looks so good. lowkey, I think this place takes the eating of our oldest into today's mood. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Tselogs:
It’s a shame that Pretty Cumsly Tselogs is no longer in downtown San Francisco, and now I have to travel all the way to Daly City for it. It was so convenient to have a place nearby that offered good old-fashioned traditional Filipino silog plates. I really miss that, especially compared to the options that are available now. It would be great if both options could coexist. I'm sure the business is still popular. It... View all feedback.
This experience was pure enjoyment! The service was quick and inviting. One of the owners greets and interacts with the clientele. Nice jazzy music playing in the background, so soothing when eating your meal whether on a lunch break or another time of day. The vibe of decor totally cultural and cozy. The food was delicious, owner checked on me how things were going, very personable they provide classes for entrepreneurs to learn leadership and mentoring. Total well rounded establishment with a purpose!
Parking can be hard to find but it is right across from Walgreens so you can park in its lot and walk over. Inside is spacious and tables are placed with a considerable distance. Bathroom is clean and tidy. Service is friendly and fast. Dishes are served with garlic rice, an egg, and a protein of choice. Bangsilog- Salty. Garlic rice didn't have much flavor of the garlic, too dry, and the egg was undercooked. Noksilog tocilog- Same complaint about the garlic rice egg. Noksilog was cooked well and crispy, as well as tocilog. Palabok- Underwhelming. Kind of blend. Too saucy. Tiny shrimps.
Food is very good and their Ube pie is delicious!Negative service is bad, not sure if we just happen to come in at a bad time but the cashier girl was not attentive. When she collected our plates, she inadvertently took the fork I was obviously still using but promised to get another one for me. Never came back to do so. She also seem to rush us to leave, despite the restaurant not closing for another hour. Also, when she asked if there was anything else we wanted (additional pie specifically), I asked for an extra order of their longanisa to go. She did say she would ring me up at the front, but I didn’t realize she was going to completely forget or neglect to put in my order.Yes, you do have to order at the front, but then why bother to ask us if we needed anything else then completely forget to place our order? I think we just didn’t vibe and that’s ok, but I do have to take away one star for the bad service because I really did want an extra order to go. But still would recommend to eat it here and definitely willing to give another try!
