This was our first visit, and we really enjoyed our dinner. Everything we ordered was delightful: kare-kare, adobong pusit, the Hapag sampler (which allowed us to taste their amazing lumpia, pork rind, and calamari), and grilled pork. The food was so delicious that we couldn't resist trying all their desserts. We left feeling very satisfied and fulfilled. We definitely plan to return to check out their lunch buffet.

Hapag Pilipino is a fantastic restaurant to visit. The dishes are authentic and packed with flavor. I especially enjoy their buffet brunch, which features a diverse selection of options. The restaurant is very clean and well-maintained. The service is excellent! I will definitely keep returning to this spot for delicious meals!

As for the food, the buffet menu used to be updated daily on their Facebook page, but it hasn’t been as frequent lately. The weekday lunch buffet is a great deal at $9.95, while it’s $11.95 on weekends, featuring more variety, including lechon (whole roast pig) and kare-kare (a peanut sauce dish), only available on weekends. However, there are still delicious options available during the week. We opted for the "Boodle Fight" (Kamayan) menu, which costs $25 per person, but the lunch buffet is fine as well. We had a reservation for six people, as it’s required for larger groups. Here’s what we preordered: **Appetizer (choose one):** - Lumpiang Shanghai* (mini pork egg rolls) - Calamari (with garlic) **Soup (1):** - Nilaga* (beef with potatoes) - Tinola (chicken in ginger broth) **Entrees (5):** - Chicken Inasal (grilled with lemongrass and vinegar marinade) - Chicken BBQ (grilled with a sweet marinade) - Fried chicken* (a bit too dry) - Inihaw na Tilapia (grilled whole fish) - Inihaw na Pusit* (grilled whole squid with glazed pork belly) - Crispy Pata* (deep-fried ham hock) - Pork Inihaw (grilled slices) - Pork BBQ* - Garlic Butter Shrimp* - Old mushy baked mussels **Sides:** - Rice, chicharron (shrimp chips), eggs, veggies (okra, green beans, eggplant), mango salsa, and various sauces. **Dessert (1):** - Ginataang Bilo Bilo* (mochi in coconut milk) - a bit thick, but otherwise great. - Ginataang Mais (corn rice in coconut milk) - for the birthday celebration, they treated us to a bibingka (fluffy rice cake topped with coconut cheese) with a candle. As for the drinks, we had several options: - Sago Gulaman (a super sweet drink with green jello tapioca) - $3.50, - Calamansi (citrus), Buko (young coconut), or Mango juice - $2.50, - Iced tea with refills - $2.50, - Hot tea or coffee with refills - $1.50, - Canned sodas - $1.50, - No alcohol available. Regarding the service, the ladies were noticeably friendlier and more helpful than the guys, who were rather quiet. In short, I absolutely enjoyed both the daily lunch buffet and the boodle fight concept. My family liked it too! For a weekday buffet for two, we spent only $25, and the kamayan feast for eight adults came to $266, with kids eating for free. We ended up with tons of leftovers and realized we could have ordered for six or seven instead.
