We went for the Mothers Day brunch so the restaurant was a bit loud with young diners. We were surprised it was not more crowded given the proximity to several Churches. The food and service were both very good though. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Grain:
Not worth the money. Both my wife and myself had stomach problems after this buffet meal. The staff was friendly but I was unaware of the cost from opentable upon making this reservation. Definitely not going to make a return trip to this restaurant View all feedback.
Nice location. Great outdoor area. Only you can't use it! Staying at the hotel, took a runner first night to have a cocktail. The restaurant was closed. The acoustics are so outrageous that you can't hear the person sitting across from you. Just terribly noisy. Needs some help to get it right. And expect to pay $15 for a cocktail any cocktail. Second night went for a business dinner for 3 at 6:30. Restaurant was empty. Asked to sit outside, but were told while we could go out there with only 1 server the service woujld be horrible. Some guy w/ guitar was playing and singing and it was at best OK. But worse, it was way, way, way too loud. We said that we should go somewhere else, as the empty restaurant was too loud due to the singer. We were told he quits at 6:30 so he would go soon. Only, he played until 7:30 making our biz dinner really, really difficult. With no one in the restaurant but us he seemed to have the amps dialed up to blast into the bar area next door. We asked 3 times if he could just dial it down since he seemed intent on not leaving. We were told 3 times they would dial it down, and then we watched as nobody every said anything to the guy, and the volume remained way too high. The food was reasonable. Not great. Expect to pay $30 for an entree. Smallish, very little in way of side dish. Pricey for what you get. And $15 for a cocktail, even more for a glass of wine. I will never go back.
Dinner and service were good.Nice and quiet place to enjoy and evening out. Parking is valet only, this is a hotel restaurant. Not sure if i will go back.
Good selection at the breakfast buffet and plenty of it. Friendly staff. Do wish the chairs weren't so low or the tables too high these days.
Had to eat in bar since Grain is closed Sundays. Same menu offered. Modest wine by the glass selection. Decent but not great menu selection although it tasty.
The selection of food items for lunch was appropriate, and well priced. The service was very attentive yet unobtrusive. I always try to use this venue when hosting important lunch appointments and will continue to do so in the future.
