Project Pollo - Dallas
Project Pollo
Description
Project Pollo has garnered mixed reviews since opening its Dallas location. While some diners rave about the flavorful Nashville Hot Chicken and creamy mac & cheese, others express disappointment in inconsistent food quality, long wait times, and service issues. Despite early praise for its innovative vegan menu and all-vegan offerings, patrons have reported cold food and misleading ingredients, raising concerns about food allergy safety. However, for those willing to wait, the tempting flavors and unique offerings, including a drive-thru, make it a standout spot worthy of a visit—even if it requires a bit of a trek.

They claim to be vegan, but while I was in the drive thru I saw a can of ‘dairy ultra pasteurized whipped topping’ was being used for the milkshakes, which I ordered. I am allergic to dairy and this was alarming to see. Don’t go here if you have food allergies or are strictly vegan.
Wow, this restaurant is amazing! The Nashville Hot Chicken with tater tots or fries and an Oreo Cookies and Cream dessert are delicious! The food is comforting and the menu is simple, with some healthy gluten-free options available as well. Currently, the restaurant only has one location in North Texas, but I hope they expand further north soon.
The food was fantastic and the restaurant gives back to those in need. Staff was knowledgeable about nut allergies, almost no tree nuts in menu items.
The first time we tried it out was at Vegendale and it was really good so when we were in Dallas we went to this location. we saw they had a drive-through. It took around 40 minutes to get our food there had been one other car previously there waiting and that’s it. It wasn’t busy. when we got our food it was cold so we had to wait till we got home to heat it up. It was all right. I understand if it’s made fresh, it’s okay for it to take awhile, but is it was still cold .
