What Pat Jeske doesn't like about Papa Murphy's:
We went to Murphys 12/8/17 for Prime Rib. We ordered Medium on the meat. We waited quite awhile and all of a sudden a woman brought our food out and slammed it on the table and didn't wait to see if we needed anything. The meat was **** rare with blood on the plate and our veggies were missing. We watched for someone to help us but to no avail. I had to get up and go search for someone to help us. I've dined at Murphy's Grill many times and always had a good experience, which is why I decided to visit again recently. Unfortunately, something seems to have changed. The Fish and Chips I ordered tasted worse than frozen fish sticks from Safeway. When you pay the prices they charge for this dish, you expect a certain level of quality. It used to be fine, but now it seems like they're serving fish mush. I'm not sure what happened.
The Murphy's on Forest Lane in Dallas, TX, has some serious issues. I had the worst service experience there when my card was overcharged for drinks I never even ordered. The manager was unhelpful and seemed more interested in protecting his dishonest staff than in addressing the problem. The overall professionalism was lacking, and it felt like they were trying to take advantage of customers by not issuing receipts, likely to manipulate the charges after you leave. I would not recommend this place.
We really enjoyed our meal there a couple of days ago. We've been there many times so I thought we should leave a review so people realize how great this place really is. The food was very fresh tasting; lots of choices for both kids and adults. We have 2 very picky eaters in our family who LOVE this place; this is where they always ask to go for their birthday dinner. They get a really yummy treat too! I would certainly recommend this restaurant to everyone!
We visited Murphy's on December 8, 2017, specifically for the Prime Rib. We ordered our meat medium, but after a considerable wait, a woman brought our food to the table and slammed it down without checking if we needed anything. The meat was surprisingly rare, with blood pooling on the plate, and our vegetables were missing. We looked around for someone to assist us, but no one came. I eventually had to get up and find someone to help. It felt like no one cared, despite us needing steak sauce and a coffee refill. It took an eternity for our vegetables to arrive, as it seemed the cook had forgotten to prepare them. I had to search for help again. We're not demanding customers; we simply expect a bit of service and our food to be prepared according to our order.
Here's my beef with most of the eateries in Oregon. Dinner last night, only 3 other tables, so not busy at all. The muzak was an emo station (not a good choice) much too loud. Three at our table, my wife ordered the fish chips, my son the country steak (salad w/ ranch dressing), and I had a steak (steamed veggies, baked potato). The drinks salad arrive, and the server gives the salad to my wife, not my son... easy enough for us to correct, but strike 2. Dinner arrives, looks good, except I have no baked potato. We're asked if there's anything we need, and I have to remind our server.... strike 3. Then the cleanup starts, vacuum floor sweep, after we had just gotten our food. It's too bad, because the food was very good, but the lackadaisical attitude stymies me.
