Description

Las Cuquitas has garnered mixed reviews, reflecting a divide in culinary experiences. While some patrons laud the restaurant for its generous portions, friendly staff, and authentic flavors reminiscent of home-cooked meals, others express disappointment with greasiness, inconsistent food quality, and less-than-stellar service. Dishes like chicken enchiladas and flautas catch positive remarks, although issues with stale chips and overpriced tortillas surface as concerns. With a long-standing reputation, this unassuming eatery appeals to many, yet its fluctuating service and food quality might lead some diners to reconsider. Overall, diners seem to agree: a visit to Las Cuquitas may be a hit or miss.

The food is incredible! The staff is extremely friendly and accommodating. Bring your family to enjoy authentic Mexican cuisine, just like Mama used to make. I can't say enough wonderful things about Cuquita's. Why, oh why, can't I order everything on their menu? I absolutely love this place!

I was invited to celebrate a friend’s birthday at Cuquita’s. They let us bring our own cake, which was a nice touch. Most of us ordered the chicken flautas, which were quite large, and I loved that the chicken was fresh and not fried like at most Mexican restaurants. Some friends ordered margaritas on the rocks, while another had a beer. We all had a fantastic time.

The food wasn't as good as I remembered. I had the enchilada plate, which included three different types of enchiladas. We also ordered queso flameado, which came with three tortillas. That wasn't enough, so we ordered more tortillas at $1 each, but they weren't worth it since they were slightly burned.

This was our first visit, and we really enjoyed it. The corn tortillas were exceptional—light and distinct in flavor. We ordered menudo on Sunday morning, and it perfectly satisfied our cravings. The service was excellent as well!

My brother and I decided to try Cuquita's based on recommendations from two Spanish-speaking friends. The place is modest and charming, offering homestyle Mexican food. The service was friendly, and my brother declared his Chile relleno to be one of the best he’s ever tasted. Prices were fair, and the tortillas were fantastic. While the chicken flautas were a bit bland, the portions were quite generous. Overall, we had a lovely dinner.
