Went there with some trepidation as it looked like a standard Chinese Takeaway.There was indeed the normal baine marie with all the standard fare, but we opted to go with the menu.We had outstanding home made dim sims, a very good Seafood Nest, and a reasonably good Duck dish. What User doesn't like about Lotus River Chinese Smorgasbord:
Terrible. Buffet was too salty with lots of onions in everything. Lots of sticky batter around small pieces of meat and not warm enough. Was looking forward to nice Chinese meal but was very disappointed. Maybe we should have ordered from the menu. Sorry for the negative report because the people were lovely View all feedback.

Dreadful eating, almost three quarters of the container was wobbly and when I complained, I was told that it was normal. I had many Chinese meals and apparently had no normal in the past, even those people. absolutely this place would avoid future.
Meals were ok, except for the long black hair that was found in my meal, halfway through me eating it. The staff did'nt react to this problem. Not even a sorry.

Ask for honey sesame chicken was given battered un eatable chicken was very tough and seamed microwaved when told was fresh wouldn't feed it to a dog if had one. was very dissatisfied with the product that cost $12:90 I would been better eating the plastic container would not recommend the place
