A must-visit for downtown Dahlonega! This is perhaps the coziest, quaintest, picturesque cafe we have ever been to. It’s a Fall tradition every year. The delicious food and coffee, magical atmosphere, and friendly service come together for a perfect eatery for Dahlonega. View all feedback.
What boscoblack doesn't like about Picnic Cafe And Dessertery:
Order the quiche if you're into receiving a child sized portion of food. Nothing better than paying $10 for 2 bites of quiche, a few pieces of thin fruit, and a handful of chips. View all feedback.
Fantastic lunch, my wife had the tomato bisque plate and I had a half sandwich/soup lunch deal. The sandwich was pimento cheese/bacon/lettuce, lightly toasted. The soup was a spicy chicken/white bean chili, tasty and mildly spicy at best. Loved the visit.
Lovely, small (emphasis on small no hostess, you just try and find an available table; we had a small wait, but no issue) place run by a charming bunch of folks. If there was a good diner in Mayberry, it would be like this. We went both days we were in Dahlonega, nothing disappointed, but the baked goods were the standout. Their Hummingbird cake and Peanut Butter cookies were as good as any I have ever had. We stopped in on our way out of town and bought 6 more cookies for the road no regrets.
Loved the warmth of this little backery/Cafe. Very efficiently operated. Casual atmosphere, and everything we ordered was delicious!
Second time here. Super nice staff and food is really good, all of it. Huge array of different treats to choose from.
This was such a fun little coffee stop during our trip to Dahlonega! I got one of their chai lattes, and it came with whipped cream, and was absolutely delicious. I went with a group of bachelorette trip, girls, and everyone absolutely loved what they got! Definitely a nice place to stop for some coffee or sweets!
