Unfortunately, my experience at Helen's left me disappointed with the inauthentic food served by staff who didn’t seem very enthusiastic. I found her desire to wear dirndls and lederhosen to be quite disconnected from traditional German culture. However, then I discovered this place, and I can’t say enough positive things about it. The food is outstanding, and the staff are incredibly personable, which really enhances the dining experience. It truly feels like you’ve stepped into a family atmosphere reminiscent of a local beer garden in Bavaria. If someone out there is looking for an authentic German restaurant, this is the spot!

We were eager to try it since it fit into our plans for the day. The food was outstanding, and the owners and staff were exceptionally friendly. The restaurant and kitchen were spotless! We will definitely come back when we're in the area again. Thanks for an excellent lunch! By the way, everyone in Dahlonega is incredibly nice, friendly, and welcoming!

They had... read more Truly a gem just outside of downtown Dahlonega. We reserved a birthday fondue for 2. When we arrived we were cheerfully greeted by the owner and staff. They had our table pre-set in an adorable, private nook in the back of the restaurant. This fondueexperience was one of the best things I?ve ever had in my life. They import the cheese from Europe (the owner lived in Germanyfor 20 years) so he knows what is legit. We also ordered potato pancakes, red cabbage, a sausage, a pretzel, and the spätzle.All delicious! Would definitely recommend and plan on going back. Everyone working at the restaurant was super friendly andattentive as well!!! Thank you for a great birthday lunch!
