Checkers - Dade City
Checkers
Description
Checkers has long been known for its tasty burgers and fries, but recent visits reveal a troubling trend of subpar service. Guests repeatedly find themselves waiting excessively, with some leaving after 45 minutes of inactivity. While the food remains satisfying—albeit often overly salty—patrons question the value, particularly with rising prices. The drive-thru experience has deteriorated, transforming from a once enjoyable meal into a frustrating ordeal. Despite the fondness for favorites like cheese sticks, many are reconsidering future visits, craving not only flavor but also efficient service in a fast-food setting.

Please please tone down on the salt! The food is great but the salt is excessive. The fries are already seasoned and don?t need the additional salt. Besides that, everything at the Dade city checkers is great!
I have went several times. Half the time I get tied of waiting and just leave. Worst service ever. I cook for a living if I worked like that I would be fired. At least tell me you will be with me in a min. I thought it would get better but no. Wentagain July 18 still can't get service at window. Just close down window if you aren't smart enough to run it. You still suckcheckers
It's time to update my three-year-old review because things have changed. While the food remains good, the drive-thru service has declined. The wait time is excessively long, and it hardly moves at all. You’d think they were negotiating world peace! It's gotten so frustrating that I’m not sure I want to go there anymore. It’s really disappointing, as it was such a fantastic find three years ago. Here’s my previous review: I recently discovered Checkers, and honestly, we’ve been loving our guilty pleasures. The french fries are great, and the burgers taste exactly as they should.
I've been living in Dade City for over 20 years, and I used to love the burgers here – they were always delicious. However, about six years ago, I started to notice that the food became a bit saltier than usual. I usually wouldn’t mind, but today’s meal was excessively salty. What happened to the food? My drink was warm, and I waited 15 minutes just to get to the speaker to place my order. Once I ordered, I had to wait even longer for a van ahead of me to receive their food. I would have left, but there were cars behind me. On the bright side, the staff has always been quite friendly. CHECKERS... PLEASE REDUCE THE SALT!
