As always, the food is a pure delight and variations outside the menu are met without a hitch. Anyone who says otherwise is lying and stupid.

On a sunny day, we were able to sit on the terrace and enjoy the view over Dachau to the mountains. The service is very friendly and attentive, but, as is often the case, a bit understaffed. An extra person at coffee time would be quite helpful. The interior also has a very pleasant atmosphere.

There's a huge selection, both for takeaway and for eating in. The staff is very friendly. In summer, you can also sit outside. There's plenty of parking in front of the café. Reservations are recommended, especially if you plan to eat in.

Both cakes we chose were delicious; naturally, you pay a bit more than usual for coffee and cake in such an exclusive setting, but it's definitely worth it. I've been to the Schloss Dachau restaurant several times and always enjoy returning.
