I went to this restaurant with a group of 6 around 6pm, and we were harassed by a security guard because I did not have my ID. The guard refused to let us in, even though we just wanted to have a meal and watch the rugby. My wife, who is blonde and medium build, was screamed at by the guard when we tried to explain that my ID had been stolen a week prior and that we only wanted to eat, not drink alcohol. I have never experienced such rude behavior from a security guard before, and it was a complete waste of time. I will never go back to this restaurant again.

I walked into the restaurant approximately two hours ago at 6pm with a group of 6 people. Unfortunately, we had a negative experience with a security guard who harassed me for not having my ID. She refused to allow me to complete a track and trace form, which I believed to be mandatory, and wouldn't even let me enter the establishment. Despite my attempts to explain that my ID had been stolen a week prior and that I was simply there to eat, not drink alcohol, the security guard, a blonde woman with a medium build, began shouting at me and my friend. This behavior was in stark contrast to previous visits, where I had been treated with respect by other security guards even without my ID. In my opinion, a business should prioritize respect and kindness towards customers, rather than targeting them and making them feel unwelcome. Despite my male friends being allowed entry without showing their IDs, my female friend and I were singled out and publicly shamed by the security guard. Her aggressive and threatening behavior led to other patrons expressing their embarrassment and disbelief at the situation. Ultimately, I regret my polite response to the guard and have decided not to return to this establishment in the future. Overall, my experience at this restaurant was extremely disappointing and a waste of time.

Starting off the weekend with breakfast at this restaurant is always a great idea. The food is delicious, the coffee is bottomless, and the prices are fair.

It's best to avoid visiting on a Saturday night if you prefer a quiet dining experience, as the atmosphere in Cwmbran at that time may not be to everyone's taste. However, it is a decent spot for having a drink before going to the Courtyard.
