**Dining Experience at Anchor North: A Mixed Bag** Anchor North offers a diverse culinary experience that leaves diners with varied impressions. While some rave about the exceptional flavors of dishes like chicken wings and loaded fries, others report major service issues, including long waits and overlooked orders. Many highlight the fantastic brunch options, especially pancakes and biscuits with gravy, complemented by a family-friendly atmosphere. Additionally, memorable dishes such as the Caprese pasta and cheese curds elevate the dining experience. However, the intrusive live music, often overshadowing conversations, poses a drawback, prompting diners to wonder if the restaurant can balance ambiance and service effectively.

THE CHEESE CURDS!!! I can’t praise them enough; they're honestly the best I’ve ever tasted. The loaded fries with short ribs are also amazing. The food is full of flavor, and the staff is incredibly professional! It was such a fantastic first experience. I’ll definitely be bringing others here!!! Food: 5/5 View all feedback.
What amy welsh dislikes about The Castaway Club:
I took my grandchildren for an early supper. We sat outside so the kids could play on the little playground. The waitresses put up umbrellas in all the tables but ours. It was very warm and sunny. Our waitress was not attentive at all. She spent her time talking with her table that was buying drinks. We sat in the hot sun waiting for our bill. I asked for 3 take-home boxes as the kids didn't eat much of their supper.... View all feedback.
If you plan on having dinner here, make sure to finish your meal and leave before the live entertainment begins. I've dined here twice, and I won't be returning. When the band started playing, the noise level was louder than any rock concert I've ever been to, even those where earplugs were necessary. My ears didn't literally bleed, but anyone still trying to enjoy their meal quickly left the restaurant as the band, Whiskey Tango, began. This left a few presumably drunk twenty-somethings to dance, if you can call it that—it was more of a grind. The band was actually quite talented with their cover songs, but they should seriously reconsider their name given the absurd volume at which they performed in a small dining area of 800 square feet. "Whiskey Tango Foxtrot" would be a more fitting name.
If you're considering dinner here, make sure to finish eating and leave before the live entertainment begins. I've been there twice for dinner, and it will be my last visit. When the band started playing, the noise level was beyond anything I've experienced at rock concerts, even ones where earplugs were necessary. My ears didn’t bleed, but anyone still trying to enjoy their meal literally ran out of the restaurant when the band Whiskey Tango began. The only ones left behind were a few presumably intoxicated twenty-somethings who took to the floor to "dance"—though "grind" would be a more accurate description. The band was actually talented with their cover songs, but they should reconsider their name given the outrageous volume they played in an 800-square-foot dining space. I’d say "Whiskey Tango Foxtrot" fits better.
A few minutes later, our entrees arrived. I had the steak stroganoff, which was fantastic, while my companion ordered the chicken dill sandwich and said it was very disappointing. We ordered a beer and a glass of wine when our entrees came out, but we didn't receive them until after we had finished our entire meal. I noticed our drinks sitting at the bar for over 20 minutes before someone finally brought them over, all while our waitress was in the corner rolling silverware. Other servers were busy bringing drinks to other tables, but ours was neglected. I even considered getting them myself at one point. Throughout our meal, our waitress never checked on us. If she had, she would have realized we were missing our drinks. Despite this, I would like to return because I appreciated the atmosphere and enjoyed my food, but I’m hesitant to make the trip if the service remains poor. I believe the waitstaff should work better as a team, assisting each other in delivering food and drinks and being more attentive; that would significantly improve the experience. You really are only as strong as your weakest link! Here’s hoping their service improves!
