We dropped in for lunch. We were conducted through to the poolside, and were alone for most of our time there. The service was charming and attentive Yamile made us feel very much at home ad ensured we had all we wanted. The food...was lovely. Was it cheap? No but well worth it. Sad that we could not return for dinner too many things to do.

Naomi was an amazing lady to welcome and serve us! thank you! we will be safe again in the future insaallah!

Generous portions and extraordinary taste. The were able to accommodate a large party. The choclo is a must and the chicharrón is great tasting pork. Plates are very well presented and the place is nice and cosy hidden.

This restaurant was highly recommended. All started well with a relaxing drink in the bar. We had been told it was essential to book a table in advance which we did. However when we moved from the bar to the restaurant we found it virtually...empty with only 5 other people dining no more than 10% full. Three of the four starters were just ok and the 4th was very good. However when the main course arrived all four of us were underwhelmed. Throughout our time in the restaurant there were 2 musicians playing and two dancers entertaining us but before we were half way through our meal they and the waiting staff outnumbered the diners by quite a margin. They all appeared very cheerful and worked hard but that said the atmosphere was very “flat”. I felt very sorry for the staff as they kept smiling throughout but were clearly embarrassed by the poor atmosphere. The bill took the smile off my face as it did not represent value for money.

I have to say the service at Belmond hotel is beyond impeccable. First we were picked up at the airport, driven to the hotel and given an in-depth tour by Victor. The staff here are unbelievably warm and hospitable. Yamile served us dinner (among others...during our stay) and provided personal service with excellent food. We particularly enjoyed Elvis and Alonzo and their commitment to personal service at the hotel. Overall, this experience was beyond 5 star. I highly recommend this venue if you are looking for first class accommodations with a personal touch. I will return. Thank you Belmond for your slice of paradise!
