In contrast, I found the food at Maikhana to be affordable (a good value) and especially great for vegetarians!! The lunch buffet is basic, Indian homecooking - none of the fancy dishes you might find at a gourmet Indian restaurant. But, if you know that and keep your expectations realistic for this price level, this is a superb lunch option that is practically a secret (it was never overly busy when I was there).Honestly, I'm of Indian heritage, and I had so many really bad meals at this price point in Cusco, that I was beyond ecstatic to find an affordable lunch spot, with good vegetarian food. I genuinely enjoyed all my meals at Maikhana.Keep your expectations realistic (you are going to have Indian cuisine in South America, and this is not a region of the world known for having gourmet Indian restaurants), and with that enjoy one of the most affordable and tasty lunch options in Cusco!!!!
