Get the Huevos Rancheros. Trust Me. This is where I landed every morning in Cusco. Not by accident. Not just because it’s walkable or popular with gringos. Because the coffee is strong, the food hits exactly where it should, and because JC’s Café felt like a tiny corner of calm before diving back into the altitude and the chaos. Yeah, you’ll hear more English than Spanish inside. That is acceptable, this time.... The huevos rancheros here are worth breaking any rule of local-only dining. Two perfectly poached eggs resting on a tortilla blanketed in smoky, rich beans that tasted like they’d been simmering since sunrise. It’s the kind of breakfast that makes you slow down and pay attention. I couldn’t even finish mine. That’s how much they give you. But it didn’t stop me from coming back the next day. And the one after that. If you’re in Cusco and looking for your breakfast spot, this is it. Get the huevos rancheros. Trust me. I stumbled yesterday about this little jewel and returned to the place today. The food is excellent, they have an excellent selection of smoothies and hot drinks, including herbal teas, the service is friendly and fast, the prices are very reasonable. I can't recommend JC's to go!
We were tired and did not want to go all the way to the place, as recommended by our hotel. This café had excellent food! My husband had the LomoSaltado. I had the chicken breast (purified thinly over a bed of potatoes with a creamy mushroom sauce. The veins on the side (brokkoli, green beans and carrots. Was also delicious: .
We stayed in Cusco for a week and tried many cafes, many of them are really good and only a few disaaapointed, but JC is the mvp breakfast wise. I had the JC special breakfast and it was just amazing! Would be safe
Best vegetarian breakfast I’ve had in Peru so far! (They also have non-veg options). Delicious food, fresh orange juice and coca tea. Definitely recommend this place Walking distance from the center.
My girlfriend and I shared the Huevos Rancheros (refried beans, tortilla, spicy salsa, fried egg) and a yoghurt and honey fruit salad for breakfast. Exceptional. I am a real foodie and this was just so well made and so delicious that we wanted to come back again for lunch and dinner. Please ignore this review and don't come because we want to always be able to get a table!!!!!
