We were truly impressed by this restaurant and the amazing food it offers! Dining here is a decision you won't regret. The ambiance is delightful, the ingredients are of high quality, and every dish is cooked to perfection and full of flavor. The service was lovely; we were well taken care of and checked on regularly. I can't recommend this place enough! Be sure to make a reservation in advance to secure a table—it's definitely worth it! Service: Dine in.
When we arrived at Oleada, I felt a bit anxious, unsure if we were at the right place. However, I quickly learned that you shouldn’t judge a book by its cover. The interior was cozy and charming, making me feel like I had stepped back in time, as if traveling by train with a map. We were welcomed with warmth, and it turned out to be the best meal I've had on the island (and one of the best in a long time). We started with pumpkin ravioli as an appetizer, followed by a delicious pork belly and a porterhouse steak. Even the trip to the restroom was entertaining, with the map of the moon being my favorite detail. If you find yourself on the island, be sure to make a reservation in advance to avoid missing out (although we noticed many people enjoying takeout as well).
In addition to the journey ambience, we're mesmerized by both entrée and main dishes, not least the hospitality. Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 5
This fantastic dining experience hides behind a modest, low-key exterior. Book ahead for a table (seating is limited to about 16 or 18) or take advantage of the takeaway option. Menu changes so check the website and ask what the special is. The food is divine. Masterfully prepared, fresh and delicious. Some vegetation options, some gluten free options (not at the same time). Tassie drinks on offer (gin, whisky and wines). Vegetarian options: Two vegetarian options the nights we went. Pumpkin ravioli with roasted pine nuts and a spinach and cheese ravioli with tomato based sauce. Both delicious! Parking: An easy walk from the main street of Currie. Plenty of on street parking.
