The occasion was a reunion of old colleagues. The environment is inspired by an old classic style but not heavy: it's simple. The menu is inspired by the local tradition (meat) and some fish intrusions. I chosen for a starter and main course of fish: warm fish salad (octopus and squid) and tuna slices lightly baked. Fresh and good quality and vine also.
The restaurant is nice and very well kept. The staff is very professional. The food is fresh, very tasty and well served. For lunch there is a special menu with a reasonable price. I got pasta with fish, tuna fish, water, a glasd of wine and coffee with 20€.
This restaurant don´t make a lot of fuzz about it´s existence. In fact, when you see it from outside you can hardly be sure if it is really a restaurant that you have in front of you and if it is open or closed. But as soon as you enter by the door everything changes and a warm welcoming atmosphere gets hold of you and carries you all through the evening. It is oldfashioned, quiet, clean and distinguished in it´s appearance. A lot of linen, old artwork and very soft music. La Signora who takes care of you does a perfect job of it; utterly discrete, but still interested to make suggestions for every part of your experience. She serves you wonderful Amuse bouche and the finest homemade bread. You´ll find a really stimulating winelist to search through. Pricings are quite moderate.The meny is to my mind perfectly equilibrated between northern Italy traditions and some new ideas. Her husband is in the kitchen and makes an excellent performance there with whatever I have eaten at my three visits in this marvelous Trattoria.
