This restaurant is fantastic! You can see its charm from the road. Kari, Chad, and the entire team are always on top of everything. The food is excellent, the service is superb, and the atmosphere is very welcoming. There's music on the deck throughout the summer, along with handcrafted cocktails and creative dishes. Wow, what happened to 5 o’clock? We’ve been going there for nearly 20 years and have never had such a bad experience. I understand things are understaffed, but seriously, the service was so bad it made our entire evening a disappointment. We waited so long to get served, our waitress never checked on us, we ended us going to the bar to get our wine we had hoped to drink with our meal. Yikes. We won’t be going back. We waited over 30 minutes for our waitress to come to our table once we were seated. For an appetizer, we ordered fresh oysters, which were good. It took a while to get our soup and salad, both of which were good as well. By the time we received our main course, we were sorely disappointed. My market value priced tenderloin, which was flavorful, was barely warm to the touch. The same is true with the chicken my husband ordered. We had a choice to wait for our waitress to come back and ask for our food to be warmed up or to just deal with it and eat it. Since we had already been there for 2 hours, and considering we were the forgotten table, we chose to eat our food cold. We were more than 1/2 way through our meal before she finally checked on us. We didn 't complain because we just wanted to get out of there....they weren 't busy enough to justify the long wait for a waitress and our food. Had our food been hot, I 'm sure it would have been incredible. We will never know. Food: 3 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 4
