Gaby's Express - Culver City

I really like this place. Its one of our favorite spots the ONLY reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is because sometimes (not every time) the falafel is a little dry. But when they make it fresh, it’s damn good! The staff is friendly and the cooks are really awesome. It’s a good chain for some healthier Mediterranean food. I wouldn’t call it “authentic” but if you’re in the mood for Mediterranean and trying to watch your intake, it’s a good place to go. Prices are decent if you’re getting the veggie or chicken, but can run a little higher if you’re getting beef or lamb (understandably so). What their grape leaves lack in size they make up for in flavor. They’re not standard size, but they’re so good! I also LOVE that the pickled radishes are set out to get as many as you want at their condiments bar. You know what? I’ll give them 5 stars just for that. It totally makes up for the occasional dry falafel.

This place is really good. I hadn't been here in a couple years, and I think since then they added the Chicken Sharma to the menu. I wasn't looking closely at the menu but figured I would try it. I didn't realize that it was soy based, I initially just thought it was interesting that a restaurant I had previously thought was vegan was serving chicken.
