I'm not a coffee drinker, but I found that Java City Cafe, conveniently located in the Hunter Library, offers some great non-coffee options. It was my first time visiting, so I didn't realize they didn't provide liquid sweeteners and that you'd have to use packets instead. Today I went to Java City for some breakfast and some coffee. The credit card system was down. I live off campus I couldn't use my cat card because I don't have a meal plan. I didn't have cash on me either because I never do and I was left standing at the counter after they had already made my food, with no way to pay. Iced cinnamon roll latte w/ an extra shot of expresso! That's my drink! Everyday! The people that work at this joint are the shiz! Mighty fine folks work at this Java City. Check it out!
The staff is friendly and the coffee is decent.
On the coffee side of the service they always seem to be out of something. On the refrigerator/snack side they are adding new things likes pre-made sandwiches. Rather cheap and convenient location for studying in the library.
