If you have never been to a traditional Spanish Restaurant, you will find this place fantastic. The staff are friendly, although our waitress spoke at hyper speed and was pushy to sell more. The food was good and a nice evening was had. However, if you have previously been to a Spanish run restaurant for local Spanish people, you will realise the food at Mar de Oro is adequate and does not touch the quality of a true Spanish restaurant. Having said that, it was not bad and the majority of people on holiday will have good food and a nice evening. I am a Brit who has moved to Spain and has adopted everything Spanish. My review is an honest appraisal.

As a local person, best place for foreign people to try typical Valencian Paella! Alsto really good tapas and sangria!

Came to the promenade thinking we would be lucky to find anywhere that was open....how lucky we were to see that this place was indeed open and quite busy.we intended just to have a coffee but on seeing the food being brought out to a neighbouring table we were easily swayed. We opted for a chicken, seafood and veg paella for four people....absolutely gorgeous.the waiter was very friendly, asked us where we were from and when we said Wales , he said he had enjoyed spending time there. All in all, it was a perfect, unexpected pleasure and should we go to Cullera again , we will return to this lovely restaurant.

Delicious sangria, huge mussels, great service. Mar de Oro became our favorite place during the stay in Cullera

We 've had a nice lunch in this restaurant decided to choose from menu del dia (which was less than 13 EUR per person). I 've had fried shrimps and paella with seafood and my husband 's ordered a mini burger and a swordfish. Good value for the price we 've paid. And the waiter speaks English which seems to be feally rare in Cullera 's restaurants.
