Zebu Asado Argentino - Cuernavaca

This restaurant is a hidden gem in Cuernavaca! We started our dinner with the empanadas de elote and empanadas espinaca paired with a mezcal served with smoked salt and orange slices. The dough was perfectly ventilated and on the outside full of cheese and... fillings, and was a generous size. It was the best Empanada we've ever eaten. Then we ordered a Queso-Fondido with Chicharron. Then we also ordered the fried tripa with onions and jalapeños served with fresh corn tortillas. For grilled beef we ordered the perfectly grilled ribeye and the upper Sirloin. So tender that you don't need a knife. This meat was served on a hot cast iron plancha to keep it warm while we ate slowly. You have a wine list with nicely paired reds from Mexico. We tried one of Tres Uvas. Finally, we ordered a shortbread cookie with a cajeta filling and dusted with sugar and nuts . OMG.!!! This was our first dinner in Cuernavaca and certainly the most unforgettable. It is a great place for tourists and also a local favorite.

This is a little jewel! You go down a path to a beautiful area with greenery, lighting and music. The food is fabulous. I ordered her filled chicken breasts and wasn't just delicious, but I couldn't finish it. The staff is wonderful and... very friendly. I would recommend eating here for a nice dinner.

I was invited by another restaurant who is very picky about the selection of restaurants we go to. Based on the choice, I had high expectations for Zebu. What I found was a great experience of the front door Valet Parking (quite...available in Cuernavaca, where parking is premium) delivered to the package of mint with the bill. Between these two was an absolutely wonderful meal served by the most attentive staff. I would recommend a visit to Zebu for anyone looking for a delicious lunch or dinner in Cuernavaca.
