He then told me he had this little restaurant on the river and invited me to stop by. Mauricio spent time in Chicago, so his English is excellent. When I finally made it to his place, it was simply amazing. The grounds are beautiful, and softly lit and s very quiet. The food? Well...let me tell you...the creamy pesto spinach ravioli was amazing, and came with a really tasty salad. The prices are really great as well at $8 for the dish. Mauricio and his wife are just really great people, and I could genuinely see that he absolutely cares that the guests love the food. I would rate this as one of the best restaurants I had eaten at in Cuenca; not only for the food, but the atmosphere and genuine love for food.
