Al... read more Came across La Font by accident during a walk around Cubelles. At first we were a little unsure but were seen made welcome at at very busy lunchtime service. Although the food we ordered was fairly plain we did see some very nice seafood dishes come from the kitchen. The service was good and the deserts were lovely. Very responsible price for a very good lunch. Don’t expect burger and chips this is a Catalan restaurant. 9/10

The fish and seafood were fresh, well cooked and good value. The tapas were generous portions and we tended to order 4 or 5 between 6 of us. They would also be olives and bread on the tables at no cost and we were given some delicious red prawns to try for nothing on one visit. My favourite dish was sepia a la plancha a whole cuttlefish fried on a griddle plate. The catalunian cocas are also worth a try. These are a bit like a pizza with a very thin base and various toppings. Drinks were very reasonable with bottles of wine for less than 10 euros. Well worth a visit if you are in Cubelles area.

The youngest (8yo chose the 'adult ' pollo a la brasa, while we opted for the parillada de carne (which turned out to be a giant dish with red and black sausage, steak, lamb chop, lomo de cerdo EACH accompanied by grilled potatoes, asparagus, tomato, artisjoke and zucchini . We went early (just 20h and they still had to start up the grill, so we had to wait. The children 's dishes, which were kitchen made, came out very quickly. The twins were eating and we waited. So the older sisters shared their dishes with our hungry youngest (who had already eaten the olives and ansjovis offered de la casa . And when her chicken arrived she shared back ; But most of her chicken was added to our parillada because it was too much ; And we ended up taking the leftovers (half the parillada home. And we had to refuse the chupito offered to us because, well, because we just ate too much :D The person helping us spoke perfect French.

We h... read more We discovered La Font, one the few restaurants in Cubelles open at 22:00, the other night. Glad we did as the food was good and the service very efficient. We had to use google to translate the menu as we couldn't speak Spanish and the waiter couldn't speak English. However, we had very nice steaks which were cooked to perfection. The staff even arranged for one of the locals to give us a lift back to our villa. Highly recommend La Font.

Mostly fried stuff and typical catalan and spanish dishes. Not a place to visit on purpose but if you are around and need to eat it is ok. Good for friends meetings and normal working days. Not good for romantic dates, nor for important business. Fast and kind service. Price is good. Quality to proce ratio is average. A good place to take a coffee if it is raining.
