The visit was extremely unsatisfactory, the only bad experience in a very enjoyable stay in the city. Dishes ordered were either not served correctly or poorly prepared, fish was overcooked and tasteless, meat dishes came without vegetables and when ultimately provided, were only enough for one diner. When drawn to the attention of the manager he served one small desert with spoons for 6 people. As we thought that this was a comlimentary desert to compensate for the earlier faults,we were brought a new menu . At this point we asked for the bill reminding the waiter of the major errors. A full bill was given to me. I told the waiter that i was not prepared to pay the full amount at which the manager said bluntly that he was not authorised to make a reduction in the bill. At this point I crossed out the 3 poor dish costs and paid the lesser amount. This was clearly the worst experience I have had in a restaurant anywhere and I would not recommend the restaurant wnatsoever.I am a fluent Spanish speaker so this was not a language problem.

We had breakfast here one morning, with the same friends I was hanging out with around Roma for a few days last month. Apparently also one of their favourite places and when we were asked on the street by some Swiss tourists where to find 'authentic' food in the area the friends recommended Sobrino's.There was some discussion amongst the others about what 'meat' he was going to add to his eggs dish. The waiter suggested something [completely different dish] but my friend stuck with what he wanted [it was no extra charge on his English menu].Food was good as was coffee and service.I was back at my hotel checking out when the bill arrived. Apparently the waiter had charged for either the dish he had suggested, or extra for the different meat that my friend wanted. The couple had a 'discussion' about 'ordering extra' and then they got an English menu to look at, and on there the 'extra' was NOT extra. So, things calmed down a bit, and the server immediately adjusted the bill. Translation is not always exact...
