Matsu serves a great selection of japanese favorites to suit everyones taste. Located just two blocks from the Alameda, Matsu is a cozy and nice place for lunch and dinner, their menú has a variety of dishes including Sushi (fresh and generously served), Ramen (with...a couple of variations on the traditional japanese noodles),Robatayaki (gilled skewers and beef with traditional sauces) and Tempura (lightly breaded shrimp and vegetables). We tried a variety of dishes and everything was delicious, we especially liked the fried chicken, the spicy tuna and the sashimi. Overall, a great place for japanese food at very affordable prices

Coming from a New Yorker with fairly high standards for sushi, I knew this place couldn't possibly match my standards. The Japanese population in CDMX is tiny, and I wouldn't expect them to have the kind of sushi the Japanese would be proud of. But...I'm not sure if there are more than a handful of restaurants in this city serving sushi, so it's okay. Sushi rice was surprisingly good, but the sauces weren't refined, the tempura wasn't crispy enough, and the ginger was very watery and packaged. They actually didn't even have any spicy tuna in the kitchen, surprisingly. If you really need a sushi fix, this place will do, but with specialty rolls coming in at $135, it's not cheap. The ramen wasn't bad. Not rich enough flavor, but it was warm and spicy and the noodles were decent. Would order again if craving.

Miso soup smelled something really, really wired. I don't mean MSG, but something like a chemical preservative. Sushi and grilled tofu was ok for Mexico, but not authentic. Fair price and waiters were polite though. I went there because it was the closest Japanese restaurant from the hotel, I probably wouldn't go again.

Very delicious food. I have the Combo chickens Teriyaki. Large parts. Don't be hungry. Come with raw carrots and cucumbers. Friendly attentive service. Centrally located in Alameda Central Colonia Cuauhtemoc District México DF.

Visit Miami with friends from Chicago... great value for the price. 8 of us had lunch for USD $128 with will and beer. Service was nice. The sushi reels were usually fine and the Miso soup was acceptable. The ramen was good and plentiful. Udon... was excellent and also the tempura. Get the blue bottle. Our friends enjoyed the Matsu Chicken. Very delicious!
