Dark and brooding? My first impression of the host stand was a bit underwhelming but in hindsight it sort of fits the theme of unusual and interesting fare. I was pleasantly surprised orherwise by our cheerful and knowledgeable waiter who had some great food and drink recommendations. My favorite was the Tarantula venom infused mixed drink. Very flavorful with an unusual kick. I won't say anymore but you have to experience it to believe it. Overall very pleasant, quiet place for a romantic bite to eat.

This bar and restaurant, located in an old, historically preserved building, has a very chill ambiance and minimalist decor, but the bespoke cocktail menu is ab... read more This bar and restaurant, located in an old, historically preserved building, has a very chill ambiance and minimalist decor, but the bespoke cocktail menu is absolutely off the hook (try the Aragog, infused with tarantula venom or the Rubedo, which is a phenomenal recipe using Aperol), and the burgers are simply delicious. The DJ last Friday night was excellent, artfully mixing old and new with a backbeat that had the crowd shucking and jiving. Be sure to check it out!
