Had a relaxed drink and meal here. Restaurant/bar that markets itself as a "know the origin of your food and beer" establishment, and does do successfully. It has a distinctly Mexican atmosphere, without any hustle. Trendy, but accessible. View all feedback.
A good meal was ruined by a waiter who thought it was appropriate to add a tip of 80 pesos on a meal of 190. If you choose to go, pay in cash.
We came in looking for a late-night meal and were blown away by the experience. The food was fresh, interesting, and well-prepared. We were especially impressed with the bone marrow, rabbit, octopus, and chapulins. We were so impressed that we brought a group of friends again late the next night, all of whom know their food. This conversation actually occurred at that meal:Friend 1: "Are you drinking the rabbit broth?"Friend 2: "Don't judge. It's *#$%* delicious. And they wouldn't serve it in a dish with a handle if it wasn't for drinking."Like we had done, the broth-drinker went back again the following day because she liked it so much. And we would have joined her for our third day in a row if we hadn't been departing Mexico City that morning.Great food, served by nice folks. Highly, highly recommended.

Hidden on Av Oaxaca this is a must go restaurant. Fresh ingredients, innovative meals, great service and incredible flavours. Best food in Mexico City. Wish we gound it earlier :D
We had dinner here on the last night of a long vacation. Up to this point, we had nothing but great experiences. I'm disappointed that our meal here left us with such a bad feeling. I am from the U.S., but I speak Spanish (not fluently, but enough to have conversations with people). I can't help but feel we were treated poorly due to this. For example, we ordered the beer sampler, which is really tiny. It's just designed to give you a taste of each beer. No waiter ever came back to ask if we wanted to order an actual beer. I ordered the taquitos, one of which was rabbit. They said they were out of rabbit and brought me a chapulines taco (i.e. grasshopper) instead-- but they never asked me what I wanted as a substitute. I've had chapulines before, and they're fine (this one was too salty for my taste). To not tell me they didn't have the rabbit taco, and to just bring me a chapulines one instead seemed inappropriate. No one ever came by to ask how the food was. And by the way, the other three tacos in this sampler were just okay at best. My husband ordered the trout, and he thought it was average, too. Even if the service had been great, we wouldn't return because we weren't impressed by the food. The service, though, just made it seem like they didn't want us there. (And again, I speak Spanish, and we had a reservation.) Because no one ever came by to check on us, eventually I had to flag someone down to get our bill. No one thanked us at the end, etc. It was the worst dining experience we had in our 10 days on vacation.
