What Ambika Rana dislikes about El Pendulo:
My wife and I went for breakfast twice on a recent trip. The second time, the food and service were much worse than the first. It 's kind of cute restaurant, bookstore but I wouldn 't rush back. If you like good coffee, make sure...your americano is espresso con agua caliente or they will bring you not so good brewed coffee. View all feedback.

This place has it all! Great food, cafe, music cds, books and more. Perfect location for walking or by bike, valet with your car. The staff is nice and the food is always good. They also have live music now n then...Cant wait to go...back- its one of my FAV places! SALUD!
Stopped into the Condesa location my 1st night in CDMX. They have an excellent bookstore with a very nice selection of Spanish and English books. In addition, they have a lovely cafe with a very nice menu. Their fideo seco is delicious. I also had...a half portion salad that was very generous portion. The prices are very reaaonable.
This is a great place to pack a snack or light meal and look for this exact book! most books are covered with plastic wrap. first I was upset because I couldn't see in the book. I finally asked the load, if I could see in and his answer was sure they can see in each of them, let them just know me. great. super friendly staff super helpful staff. I never rushed. big bookstore make it quiet and buy a book!
This is a restaurant within a book store which made the ambience and atmosphere quite lovely. Breakfast was delicious El Pendulo eggs were a great choice. They also brought some wonderful bread with jams to start which was wonderful. Definitely recommend this spot if...you are in this area.
If you are in condesa, you owe it to yourself to stop by el pendulo. first it is a really good bookshop. not just good books of good writers. they even have a pretty good English language for those of us...with bad Spanish skills. but that's not all. the place offers a lot of good, inexpensive food, along with beer and wein. it is a great place to catch a bite, enjoy a drink and stay over a good book. I highly recommend it.
