This c... read more There 's something so charming about dining in a bookstore with good music in the background--yet not so loud as to prevent conversation with your party. This cafebreria has a solid menu with witty names (spaghetti al Dante Alighieri, Brochetas de Pollo Lope de Vega, Pechuga Foucault, etc. and tasty food. I loved the Canelones Maria, filled with Oaxaca and goat cheese, and covered by a cilantro avocado salsa. So mouthwatering! The drinks were memorable too. I recommend the Kerouac and the Hierbabuena Mojito. My husband and I kept coming back. We definitely recommend this place!

What terrible food, the worst we... read more We were out on a rainy evening and decided to stop for dinner at El Pendula in Zona Rosa as we had read some very good reviews. What terrible food, the worst we have ever eaten in Mexico. I had the chicken breast which had tons of onions on top and tasted grotesque. My friend had the burger which actually had an unpleasing taste to it. The food was at most lukewarm and did not feel like fresh. Service was mediocre. Would not recommend anyone to make a mistake to go there. Better off at KFC around the corner!!

Then they have a cute c... read more We were here for hoooours. The bookstore is very big and has tons of different stuff you can certainly spend upwards of 1 hour browsing. Then they have a cute cafe that serves breakfast/lunch/drinks (alcoholic and non alcoholic), and we must have been there for another 2 3 hours. They let you sit and read and order and it was just such a nice experience! They have outdoor seating, too, so if the day is bright and sunny it's great to sit out.
