We had a fantastic meal! We've tried our fair share of pulled pork and beef brisket over the years, and this is definitely one of the most delicious we've ever tasted!

I ordered takeout: the Luau Pizza (without red peppers) and their hush puppies with pimento cheese. The girl who took my order mentioned that those were her favorite items on the menu, so my hopes were high. When I got back to my RV and opened the pizza, I was disappointed. It didn't look appealing, and when I took a bite, there was no hint of coconut flavor. The hush puppies were ice cold! I contemplated going back to let them know, but I figured I would have to heat them up anyway at my RV park, so I thought it wasn’t worth it. I'm sure they would have been delicious if they were hot and crispy. I didn't voice my concerns about the pizza at that moment either—it was edible, just not what I'd hoped for. On a positive note, the restaurant has a nice atmosphere with both indoor and outdoor seating, and the staff was friendly. If I'm ever in the area again, I would consider returning to try their pulled pork or other BBQ dishes, and I would opt to dine in rather than get takeout.

I lived in the southern states most of my life and BBQ is taken very seriously down there. Curious Pig is the closest thing to southern BBQ you will find in the U.P. or even in MI/WI for that matter. Great food, decent prices and staff is very nice.

Fantastic staff, mouthwatering BBQ, and great side dishes—what more could you want?

Stopped in for some dinner and this place did not disappoint. The combination of the friendliest staff imaginable, the best food and even the BBQ smell of the building makes this the place a must stop for locals and tourists alike. Also try the nachos, you will be glad you did.
