Contribute Feedback What Gabriela Mata doesn't like about Cafe Biltmore:
Look, they had a short staff I get that, we all thought there was 2 people working as waiters and cooks. As we left there was 2 cooks and a busboy. That is enough people to get service in 45 min at most. Also the fact that we had to scrounge the other tables for, jelly, syrup, Tabasco, etc. I got coffee at the begining and 1 hour and 45 min later, after we finished the food, even though we asked for it one hour earli... If you come here looking for their prime rib special well make sure you get there at 5 when dinner starts. I showed up at 6 and they told me I couldn't get it because they were saving it for a big party. You should have enough prime rib to last longer than an hour. Ridiculous. Also this place is not vegetarian friendly and our waitress didn't even know what that was! She recommended we get a blt. Not only are they clueless on the food preferences but our waitress completely ignored us. A different waiter had to check up on us the whole time and it wasn't even busy! He had the big party and paid better attention to us. When the food did come out it was ok. Nothing I'd want to come back for again. Their breakfast service was much better for wait staff but again it was just ok food.
Stayed here for an event for 4 days, 3 nights, and ate multiple meals here. It's a decent place. Admittedly, the food isn't fine dining, but the portions are fair-sized to large, and the servers were okay. The decor not horrible, in my opinion, just generic. They have the usual assortment of food you'd expect in a hotel main restaurant: breakfast stuff (eggs, omelets, hash browns... and sandwiches and some main entrées. Dessert, etc. Given the overall state of the hotel, I wasn't expecting much, and this place met expectations. Bathrooms: Decent.
Do not go to this restaurant under any circumstances! It is extremely dirty, the food is terrible, and the service is only average. It is not worth a visit unless you enjoy experiencing extreme filth.
Wow. This place was weird but oddly enough I didn 't completely hate it. I kind of love the blast from the past feel, though I wasn 't sure the last time it had really been cleaned. Almost totally empty at the time but the service was still slow. Took awhile to order and get the food and when I did, I didn 't really get what I was expecting when I ordered a panini. It was okay though since it was sort of one of those nights . I wasn 't going to complain, and while we did have plans later that night, still not in a huge rush. The server was very friendly though. I don 't know what was making things run so slowly that night but he didn 't give off the vibe that he just didn 't care or anything like that. Looking back on it I still have such mixed feelings for this place. I desperately want to love it, or make excuses for it... but I wouldn 't necessarily say I 'd be excited about having to ever go back.
I visited the Biltmore Cafe for the second time and was disappointed. They often do not have the items you want to order, likely due to their limited food inventory. On both visits, the restaurant was empty and the food we received was stale. However, the service was fine and our server did a good job. Unfortunately, that is the only positive aspect of this restaurant. I am not sure how they remain in business.
