The large pizza was delicious! It was our first time at this restaurant and it was hot and ready when we arrived. The man who made the pizza was very friendly. It was also very reasonably priced. We will definitely try some of their other pizza options in the future. I highly recommend this pizza! View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Old Fashioned Pizza:
This is the second time in the last three weeks that we have ordered from Gerard's, and each time my family and I have gotten very sick. I hope they improve their quality control. We have always enjoyed dining here, but unfortunately we will not be ordering from them again. View all feedback.
Old fashioned pizza was terrible, so I was skeptical about this place when it turned the hands; I was not disappointed to try gerards. they made a complete 180. the personal is very friendly and even bring her eating on her table, most pizzerias will not get them with this level of service. the kerl will make pizza, but still take the time to feel welcome. they can say they want to be there. also the inner was completely rebuilt. the pizza is great, to go northwest. the sauce is well seasoned and sweet, it is on the chunker side that I like. the crust is thin and not bland, another bonus. eating the kitchen is really what surprises me, it is exceptionally good for a pizzeria. everything I had from the kitchen was great, they get restaurant quality eat for pizzeria prices. Overall, I am very glad that the new regime has taken over for such a sad apology for a pizzeria. gerard, I don't know who you are, but you do it right.
It's the best food I've ever had, the service was good and all workers were friendly and kind.
So, Old Fashioned is no more and this is now the completely new Gerard's. We ordered a large pie with half pepperoni, a small salad pizza, cavatelli with broccoli rabe, and the jumbo ravioli. The large pie is an awesome 18 inches. I don't know if any other place in the area with such large pies. I dug into the pepperoni first. The slice was perfect. The slice folds with a lot of firmness towards the crust and the tip of the slice dips slightly, for a perfect first bite. The sauce had a sweetness and fullness to it and the pepperoni had the slightest curl. The cheese was melted evenly and was not overwhelming or too gooey. Really great slice. Now, for the salad pizza, you could tell the crust thickness was stronger towards the center. They make this differently and with a lot of thought to the eating experience. The salad slice folded all the way to the tip firmly so the salad didn't slide off. All the salad was chopped to a point that it didn't fall off the slice, for any bite at all. That was really impressive. I was able to put on dressing without it getting soggy. I suggest you wait until you are about to eat a salad pizza slice before applying dressing. My only quibble is that it didn't have any olives as listed in the menu. My wife, who is quite particular about her broccoli rabe dishes, was very impressed with the cavatelli and broccoli rabe. My youngest, who is very particular about their ravioli, was also very happy with their dish. The renovation of the restaurant is really impressive and it is now a pizza restaurant for the 21st century. They also are available on Slice. Service was incredibly friendly and prompt. The order was also accurate. I'm really disappointed they don't carry Pepsi products. Remember to tip well even if you are picking up. They work hard and deserve that little bit extra. It is a truly welcome addition to the neighborhood and will be on our short list for takeout going forward. Thank you, Gerard, for coming to the neighborhood!!!!
Great food Every one is so nice Food is the delicious
Awesome pizza wonderful staff. Stopped by as I was passing thru. Had a white slice, pepperoni and a sausage and pepper slice. Thin and crunchy crust. Excellent sauce on the red slices. The white was super hi quality. Highly recommend.
