Ok - we're tired after the whole rigamarole after leaving Calgary for our long waited road trip and I usually pack lunches but today we decided to try Rumrunners as we were soooo ready for a break...pulled in here and we were greeted by the friendliest staff...place was packed but we found a nice table by the bar and after a quick chat with the waitress we placed our orders. We were told our order would take 45 minutes due to the crowd. No problem. You know what? It came in 20 minutes, with a smile. I was so impressed how the staff worked so well together to get it done. They were hard working, professional, and we loved the food. Wow - thanks for your efforts and it was a pleasure to join you for lunch!

My co-workers and I have eaten here over the last few weeks on various nights. The food has always been great, but service is usually slower on Wing Wednesdays which could be expected due to more customers and meal prices are fairly reasonable. I had to laugh tonight though…I ordered the dessert to go which was homemade cheesecake with ice cream, but minus the ice cream because it was to go. Looking at the bill, the cost of the cheesecake was $8.75…wow, must be a big piece right!! It came in a to go container and I didn't look at it until I got back to my hotel room. I think the picture says it all…

My friends and I stopped here upon after hearing about it's reputation to be a great place to eat. We were not disappointed. The service was friendly, the drinks were great and the food was filling. There was something for everyone in our group including gluten free and vegetarian options. This restaurant makes for the perfect pit stop to get a bit of Alberta history and an amazing meal before hitting the road again.

We had Tania as our server and she was fantastic - energetic, lively, positive, and humorous. I had been craving a burger for a while but due to Covid, we hadn't been dining out much. I was looking for the perfect burger and this restaurant delivered. The burger was cooked to perfection, with a nicely toasted bun that wasn't oversized. They accommodated my request for no condiments on the bun. Tania was an amazing asset to the restaurant. I highly recommend this place - the food looked well-prepared and presented, and it is a first-class operation for sure.

Our visit was mid week, mid day, the 4th wave of Covid was raging. Server very casually glanced at our Covid certificate and ID at the door, seated us. Service was good, had a good burger. But while we were sitting there we observed the...server's cleaning of the table with a rag from behind the bar. No spray of sanitation fluid, no cleaning of the hard chairs and arm rests. Just a rag. Disgusting not only during a very serious Covid oubreak, but even during normal times, this just doesn't cut it. Wasn't impressed.
