The valentines night prix fixe seemed like the perfect opportunity to sample their menu; a chef curated experience to showcase well executed meals on a busy night. The good: both pasta dishes (gnudi, penne), bistro atmosphere, friendly staff, good quality ingredients The bad: overcooked tough bistecca/steak, watery poached pear, tasteless side salad leaves, poor service with long wait times from frazzled staff It was an underwhelming and disappointing experience; I almost think something had gone wrong in the background or it was just a bad night for it to fall so short of others’ recommendations. If I was already in Crows Nest, I would try à la carte at a lunch sitting but would not make the 45min night drive from Toowoomba again. TLDR: underwhelming dining destination. This is how to run a business. Good food and great customer service. What a lovely server Caleb was, so refreshing to experience. All the stars we can't wait to go back.
