Menu

A complete menu of La Baguette from Crows Nest featuring all 14 dishes and drinks can be found here on the menu.

La Baguette is a popular spot among locals and workers in the Crowie area, with lines extending down the street for their morning coffee. While the coffee quality remains consistent and the French-style bread is touted as the best in the area, some reviews note that the blend used can be sourish and served too hot. The cakes, such as the Opera and the Success, are described as rich and dense, albeit not as refined as other patisseries. Pastries like the chocolate and caramel éclair are highlighted for their deliciousness. Despite the great food, there are comments about the service being occasionally unfriendly or indifferent. Overall, La Baguette offers a range of tasty treats, but improvements in customer service could elevate the experience for patrons.

What Christop Stracke dislikes about La Baguette:
Coffee is consistently of good quality. Service can often be quite unpleasant; partly because of the staff's non-native English but mostly due to the attitude. If the staff can show a little more care to customers then I can see this place becoming a very comfortable place. View all feedback.

Returned for a coffee run. They use Campos beans but I wasn't a fan of this blend which was sourish. The coffee was also served too hot which may have affected the flavour. We also shared a very rich and dense brownie, far too sweet for my preference.<br/ Previous review <br/ I've only had cakes from La Baguette, the Opera and the Success. Both were very rich and dense. The Opera was the sweeter of the two, with a hazelnut and chocolate profile while the Success was a sinful creation of thick ganache sandwiching layers of chocolate cake. The cakes are probably not as refined as those from Lindt or La Renaissance but still delicious.

The French baguettes roll is to die for and really good coffee the pre-made sandwiches and rolls a very nice they have great desserts. It does get busy here and not a lot of seating. The staff are nice but not super friendly. Can be tiff to get a car park .

Very popular with crowie native and people working in the opposite. the line up to a coffee on the morning is down on the road! big French brot (definitiw the best in the opposite) and beautiful cakes and baked. they also have takeaway sandwiches and rolls at midday, which are very good. no high chairs, but space to roll in with the child's car.

Small terrace series with the steady steam of the people come out on Saturday morning. fortunate I was able to nab a table to enjoy a few coffees a couple of baked. my mix of small baked varieties were all great, choc croissant, simple croissant strawberry danish, all had crispy baked. not too buttery, but only enough to not be dried. the coffees were also good.
