Crown Brewing
Crown Brewing
Description
Crown Brewing offers a cozy atmosphere paired with a diverse selection of brews at reasonable prices. While many patrons enjoy the smooth "Dude" White Russian Java Porter and the flavorful Beauregard Blueberry Ale, opinions on food quality are mixed, with some pizzas receiving praise amid complaints about other dishes. Service can be hit-or-miss, with delays and forgotten orders noted during busy times. However, the friendly bartenders and enjoyable outdoor beer garden contribute to a lively experience. Despite some food shortcomings, beer enthusiasts are likely to return for the rotating styles and affordable options, making it a worthwhile stop for locals and visitors alike.

We were tons of breweries all over the country, but for some reason we have not visited many of our nearby local breweries until recently. Kronenbraut had some solid beers and a decent variety of styles as well. We had some stouts, sours and IPA, even a Mellower Wheat Gel.
Beers were great, will definitely be back for more!! Our waitress was wonderful, even tho they were super busy. Outside beer garden was awesome!!! Food was ok at best. The wings we got were nicely sized cooked we'll amd some great tasting sauces. Now the down side... Fried pickles were the equivalent of licking a salt lick and we didn't eat. And neither did the table next to us...or the other table behind us. Nachos were ok but definitely nothing I'd be going back for. To the owners....stop using baco bits or whatever it is you are using on the nachos, it's really really gross. We ended up scraping them off as best as we could. It looks like a spoonful of minced cat food on top of your nachos. All in all we'll be back for beers again amd possibly try out something else on the menu.
Really great place. Pizza is hot, crust is crisp and delicious (ask for fresh vegetables and beer options are varied and really good. Fun causal environment. I’m sad I can’t remember our bar tender/ waitress name, she was a young girl with straight blonde hair, she was amazing! Attentive, acknowledged us right away, helped make recommendations and was kind and made for a great night. I’ll admit you need to be patient, we actually had to come back a second night because the first night, we stood at door for 20 minutes with no acknowledgement from staff and ended up leaving, I totally understand it was a very busy night, but it would helpful if management added two things train everyone to nod and acknowledge those waiting at door and just say, something like hi, we see you, but we’re so crazy busy , but as soon as we have an open table someone will get to you , a simple acknowledgment would go a long way (or put a sign up list on stand by calendars? , second and I’m apparently new to this brewery thing, but why don’t brewers include a few flavor notes on the list of beers? I’m so confused by this, they brew these amazing beers and think up clever names and stuff, but give no info about there amazing works on the actual menus. Would have liked to have a bit of info on menu, especially on a super busy night when you don’t want to monopolize the staffs time.
We visited Crown Brewing and decided to try the Beauregard Blue, ordering it in an 8oz glass for only $3.00. Unfortunately, it wasn't what I expected; I anticipated a sour beer, but it turned out to be more of an ale, which wasn't to my taste. However, the price was quite reasonable. Next, we sampled a pint of their Crown Soda Root Beer. It had a rich, dark color and a robust flavor that I really appreciated. If they offered a diet version, I think I would enjoy it even more. We also took home a Growler of Dude Java Porter for $8.00 during their Wednesday special, plus a $5.00 fee for the glass. That was a great value for the quantity. However, the porter was quite strong, and I wasn't a fan of the flavor, so I doubt I'll order it again. Still, you can't argue with the price. Our bartender was friendly and served our drinks promptly and efficiently. Overall, while I wasn’t particularly impressed with the beers I tried, the prices here are definitely affordable. I believe others might enjoy this place more than I did.
I found the two beers I tried to be quite disappointing. One of them was their award-winning Porter, which I didn't even manage to finish. A friend of mine who ordered either a Weiss beer or a Belgian beer was also very let down. Since this was a few years ago, I hope that the quality has improved since then.
