It has an 'old worldly ' aspect which is quite endearing. Staff are friendly and accommodating. The small restaurant was clean and the tables well laid with clean cutlery. at this point you 'll be saying he sounds like and estate agent but you 'd be wrong. I did however work for the mystery dining company until recently though, so I am a former assessor of such places] The meat consisted of generous portions of a well roasted Pork haunch with excellent crackling and/or a perfectly cooked beef sirloin joint. Both my wife and I enjoyed them immensely. The Yorkshire puds were nice and crisp, the roast potatoes excellent and the green beans, peas and cauliflower I had were cooked beautifully. The gravy was a rich meaty one and again well flavoured. I have no hesitation in recommending the place at all.
First time today for Sunday carvery, all spot on so regular meals now on Sunday.
Love the live music and the friendly atmosphere of the pub. A proper local!
God service and product
