Wow, the food is actually affordable, especially considering it’s Boston. Sandwiches for 6 bucks if u just want a quick bite. They also don’t skimp on the portion sizes. I got the bacon and cheese omelette and it came with home style fries and toast. The food was perfect for a slow morning, and very hearty. All around 10/10 experience and would definitely recommend for people working around the area or visiting. View all feedback.
What Evan Erickson doesn't like about The Cafe On New Chardon:
Not impressed I walk with my wife to work every morning and I debate going in here and getting breakfast so today I go in I get something to go omlet well-done home fries togo and some toast only there's no home fries in the bag even after the woman looked in the bag for she gave it to me and i always tip well I'll probably never go back View all feedback.

Great food, nice people, good prices, cool spot. Hidden gem. Home fries were so good, possibly some of best I've ever had. Not heavily seasoned, onions, crispy but soft inside, pretty much perfect. Edit: going to repeat what another reviewer said: I also saw lots of local construction workers come in to grab to go orders (10-15 in the 40 mins i was there), which is a clear sign of it being the best in the area.
Short Stack Pancakes w/ Beacon Togo yo, I can dig it hit it tomorrow morning yerning for more endurance it gives to fuel the furnace in my tummy yummy on some Justin Beebs… lol
Went here twice for breakfast, and based on all the construction workers who came in to eat, it is clear this place has a good reputation for providing big portions at reasonable prices right in the heart of the Government Center section of Boston.
I went in one morning to buy a large ice coffee and the cup was huge for $3.75.
