The Barking Crab - Crossing

Great to return here and enjoy a delicious lobster in a completely unique way. The service was very attentive and the night left an impression. Just one note: it’s time to cut out the plastic cutlery. At this level of popularity and expense, that just feels lazy and wasteful, and it spoils some of the experience.

TOURIST TRAP. TERRIBLE SERVICE. Our waitress, SHARI, berated us. We left before ever ordering food to get away from her. We tried to order apps to start and she refused to take our order if we didn 't order a main dish immediately. One girl tried to order a lobster roll with the apps just to get rid of the waitress and she still wouldn 't take it. I tried to order something and she said it didn 't count..? So when I asked her to explain what exactly she was asking us for, she left in a huff and said I 'll give you 1 minute to decide and said she would kick us out of our table if we didn 't order what she deemed appropriate. (it was so weird! I didn 't know any of these rules! so, we were fed-up with the attitude, asked for the check and left. We made a point to mention to the manager on our way out how unbelievably rude the waitress was and the manager actually just stood there and let the waitress yell at us! it was crazy. I used to work in food service and it sucked, but I was never that rude to a customer.

Four of us walked a mile to the Barking Crab in 95 degree heat to have cold drinks, in the middle of the afternoon on a Tuesday, only to find that you won't be served drinks unless you order food.

Pretty average clam chowder and lobster bisque. Crab dip was ok. Server only checked on us the one time to take our 1st order.

Excellent food, though there were some 'interesting ' signs that sort of talked down to the customers. Very expensive for the portions, but absolutely delicious. 8 or 8.5 out of 10.
