This restaurant is a decent choice if you're in the Longwood area and need something to eat before 11 AM. After that time, there are plenty of alternatives that overshadow this place. If you're at Brigham and prefer not to venture far, it’s an acceptable option. I do share some concerns about cleanliness noted by another reviewer, but I tend to overlook such matters and ignored the fact that they don't change their gloves after handling their phone or the register. I also acknowledge that if we were to witness the preparation of most foods, we might all decide to be vegan and only eat at home. I ordered the pre-packaged chickpea salad and a half turkey pesto panini. The salad had quite a bit of spice, which might not be to everyone's taste. The turkey in the turkey pesto panini is deli meat, not grilled or roasted, but the price is reasonable—around $5-6. After taxes and tip, my total came to about $15. While you can certainly find better value elsewhere in the area, this spot is good in a pinch. Overall, it's surprisingly decent for a cafe located in a hospital, where the food and atmosphere are often less than inviting.

During my visit to the restaurant, I had a concerning experience while purchasing a sandwich. The staff member who rang me up was still wearing her gloves when she took my cash. After handling the register, she proceeded to assist another colleague by preparing a sandwich. To my alarm, she started touching both the food and another patron's sandwich without changing her gloves. I had to raise my voice twice to get her attention and ask her to change her gloves. She looked at me as if I were being unreasonable. I explained that she had just handled cash and the register, and now she was about to touch food. Thankfully, another staff member stepped in and instructed her to change her gloves, as it seemed she didn't fully understand English. In today's world, where health concerns are paramount, this kind of oversight can lead to illness. The other patron was grateful to me for catching the issue because she couldn't see that her food was at risk of contamination.
